Two main problems of the neck are too much loose skin and fat, and the tense muscular bands that develop in the area. Both can be addressed by a neck lift. A small (1 inch) well-hidden incision is made just under the chin through which the entire area can be addressed. Excess fat is removed via liposuction and the muscular sling is reapproximated. This gives extra smoothness to the skin while flattening the platysma muscle bands.
